About me

I've been a professional photographer based in Singapore since mid-2007 when I chose to leave the corporate world and turn my long-standing passion into a career.

I specialise in portrait photography and I love to capture each individual, couple or family in a unique and beautiful way, revealing their characters, relationships and sentiments through my images.

My friendly, enthusiastic approach helps even the most camera-shy clients get comfortable in front of the lens and I go to great lengths to make the session fun and relaxing so that I can capture a range of different expressions, emotions and interactions.

I offer both studio and outdoor photography and I tailor each shoot to the needs and personality of my client. The finished product comes in many forms including photographic prints, canvas prints, photo albums, coffee table books and digital files.

By choosing Boabab Photography to record your precious Karen Lucasmoments, you can relax in the knowledge that you will receive a high-quality, personalised service from the initial consultation right through to delivery of the finished product.

What's a Baobab?

In bushman mythology the baobab (pronounced bayohbab) is considered a magical tree.  The baby baobab looks completely different to its adult and so the adult tree seems to appear all of a sudden out of nowhere... like magic!

There is no other tree that looks like a baobab - its spreading branches give the appearance of roots sticking up in the air as if it  had been dropped upside down from the sky and the trunk size in older trees can grow to over 10 metres in diameter.

This uniqueness, as well as the sentimental reminder of my homeland, Zimbabwe, inspired me to label my services under the name Baobab Photography.

Ever on the quest to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary through my photographs, I hope to leave lasting impressions on the viewer and to create works of art that can be shared and enjoyed, enabling scenes and moments to be relived and preserved for future generations.
